ABOUT LVs RIDE
LVs RIDE CROSSED THIS COUNTRY FROM ONE COAST TO THE NEXT, BUT NOT WITHOUT THE HELP OF ALL OUR SPONSORS, DONORS, SUPPORTERS, FRIENDS & FAMILY—WHO MADE THIS ENTIRE RIDE POSSIBLE.
What began as a notably adventurous way to raise awareness of Lasallian Volunteers’ mission to eradicate poverty in America became an epic event with international recognition. A simple cross country bike ride. That’s really all it was at the start. Yet thousands were so moved by the spirit of the young riders—who worked together and by association with one another, Brothers, hosts, schools, food banks, homeless shelters, countless strangers and beyond—to help spread the ever-growing message of La Salle’s mission in today’s world.
What could have been a private and little-known event became immediately available by a ride website that offered onlookers the opportunity to share in the daily experiences as the core team traveled 75 to 127 miles on a daily basis over two months. Outside viewers were able to see every trial and tribulation, every triumph, as well as play witness to the service riders provided on rest days that should have been for strictly rest. They read stories, saw photos, but more importantly responded vivaciously to weekly videos recapping the events of the adventure.
The ride officially ended (two months after it started) in Long Branch, NJ, on August 13, 2011. LVs Ride left the lasting impression of service to those in need, and how important it is that anyone who can give of their time should do just that. Little ways lead to big ways of one day breaking the cycle of poverty in America. Bringing people together as one builds an association of like-minded movers and shakers who can really make a change.
THIS WAS LVs RIDE.
Now it can be see in a new documentary Produced by Al Cassidy and Filmed by Nishant Gogna.

LVs Ride was an epic cross country bike ride from Warrenton, OR to Long Branch, NJ taking place from June 14, 2011 to August 14, 2011.
As a relay of people each doing their part to raise funds and awareness of Lasallian Volunteers' efforts to break the cycle of poverty in our nation’s underserved communities.
More than just a bike ride, LVs Ride was an adventure of service and faith, relationship building and fundraising. The riders were welcomed into communities, schools, institutions, churches and individuals joining in the movement to help neighbors in need.
